What is an affiliate program?

An affiliate program is a great way to make money just by telling your friends, associates, and minions about our great deals.

How does the DealDotCom affiliate program work?

We give you a special link to share with your friends. You strong-arm them into signing up for a free DealDotCom account, and anytime they ever buy anything from us, you get paid. Our affiliate program is 2-tiered, so not only will you get paid for purchases that your friend makes, but you’ll also get paid for purchases that THEIR friends make.

How do I become a DealDotCom affiliate?

If you have a free DealDotCom account, then you already are one. Just go to the Your Account page to find your affiliate link. Whenever you tell someone about DealDotCom, just make sure they click on that link so you get credit for the referral. To make it even easier, on the Your Account Page there is a link “click here to send this link to your friends” that will automatically open up your email for those of you who are too lazy to copy and paste.

What is this two-tier affiliate business?

Whenever you refer someone to DealDotCom via your handy-dandy affiliate link, you get paid 35% of DealDotCom’s profit for every item that they buy. If someone you referred to DealDotCom refers someone else, you get paid 15% of DealDotCom’s profit every time they buy something for the rest of your life. This is a big commitment, so we suggest you take it very seriously.

How do I get paid?

If you have a PayPal account, DealDotCom can pay you through that. We can also send you a check via snail mail if you’re still living in the Dark Ages.

Why are you asking for my Social Security Number-Tax ID Number (US members only)?

As an affiliate, you don’t work for us, you’re an independent contractor. That means we don’t withhold taxes on money we pay you – it’s up to you to pay your own taxes. Someone has to pay taxes on the money we pay you, and it sure as heck isn’t going to be us! Thus, we use your Tax ID Number to report your earnings to the IRS.

By the way, we highly recommend that you DON’T use your SSN. If you don’t have an Employer Identification Number yet, then quit being so lazy and get one. You can apply for one online at https://sa1.www4.irs.gov/sa_vign/newFormSS4.do or call the IRS at 800-829-4933 and you’ll have a shiny new EIN in a matter of minutes.

When do I get paid?

DealDotCom pays affiliate commissions on the first day of the following month. This gives us a full 30 days from the last purchase of that month, to make sure that all the wusses who want refunds to request them so that we can finalize everything. For example, if you earn $1,000,000 in affiliate commissions during the month of September, your check or Paypal payment will go out on the first day of November. Payments are only made when earnings reach $20 USD, so if you earn $18 in the first month, you would not be paid, but if you earned an additional $15 in the second month then that month we would send you a payment of $33

Help I have not been paid!

First of all make sure that your commissions are over $20 USD (see above answer for this) and remember that if you have opted in for the snail mail check then you must wait for pokey Mr Postman to deliver. Also, DealDotCom can only payout commissions to affiliates who fill out the required information which means you MUST enter the correct paypal email or postal address and let us know if you want to receive payments via PayPal or Check. If you have filled out everything and more then enough time has passed, then please contact us and we promise that we will look into it right away.

How do I know how much money I’ve earned?

On the Your Account page, there is a section that will tell you how much you have earned in Affiliate Commissions, but if you don’t want to just take our word for it, click the “show me the money” link for a complete breakdown of who bought what and when.

What promotion methods may I use to get my affiliate link out?

Whatever floats your boat, with one exception. You may not ever, ever send your affiliate link via spam email, spam instant messages, spam forum posts, or any other type of spam. If we get complaints that you’re using spam to promote your affiliate link, then we’re going delete your account, ban you, confiscate all your profits earned to date, and send Vinnie to your house to break your kneecaps.
