Free Lunch (I Mean Deal) on Us!
October 1, 2007At DealDotCom, even we get lunch provided around here every fifth Friday — all you can drink Strawberry Fanta and the boss brings in a dozen tuna sandwiches that his wife makes.
Anyway, this news is way cooler than that.
I gotta hand it to Simon. He doesn’t say much around the office (even though he’s a Help Desk machine), but sometimes he comes up with uber-neat idea.
Like this one…
Starting at midnight tonight, we will be giving away free products at DealDotCom.
Well, hold on. Don’t get all giddy just yet.
Every day, we are going to randomly select one of our spunky, highly intellectual members (just like you) and give them a free copy of the product/deal of the day.
No strings attached, no games, no hoops to jump through.
All you gotta do is check the DealDotCom website each day.
We will display the lucky winners name each day on the DealDotCom homepage and on the top header of each page.
(Sidenote: if you go www.dealdotcom.com right now, you will see “giveawayoftheday” on the right menu bar.)
If you see your name in that spot… you have 24 hours to login to your account and claim your free copy of the product of the day.
Simple as that.
You see, besides getting fantastic deals every day, this is just one more benefit of being a member of DDC.
Anyway, that’s the scoop.
Make sure to check DealDotCom.com tomorrow.
Who knows… you just might be our first of many lucky winners!
P.S. - We are excited about the daily giveaway and hope that you are too. After all, who else is crazy enough to give away different products every day?
To help you tell your friends about this and get the word out, look for some new fancy DealDotCom graphics, banner ads and bumper stickers coming soon to a blog and email near you!

Rather than give it to any registered users, I propose to give only whoever has bought from DDC.
Reason 1: Those who bought before has the greater tendency to buy again. You wana reinforce these people and not those who only come sometimes to do windows shopping.
Reason 2: Since the rehistered users are getting more and more, the probability anyone wins decreases quickly! It makes everybody’s opportunity to win very thin.
Reason 3: This is the most important reason: What is the purpose of you guys doing so? To attract more people come back everyday so that has greater traffic and conversion rate am I right? Then it is better you setup 2 prizes everyday. One is everyone get the chance to win (buyer or non buyer), Second is for those who have purchased from DDC only.
This improved strategy will get you more traffic and you can actually count from statistics to prove me right: Those who bought before actually have higher tendency to buy again. So you have to prioritize ex-buyers more to buyers-to-be.
When everyone sees you treat buyers so nice, everyone is more willing to buy from you guys! You make buyers-to-be easier to convert themselves to buyers more willingly!

Yes! Excellent Strategy! If we go along this line, then you should pick those who have purchased multiple times a higher preference. (*hint*)
Factor that into your plans!
