Suggestion:
This plugin would be sooooooo much better if the RSS feed for it didn’t have all the bloat about fat gay guys, and just had the deal of the day listed in it….

briansol - I’ve been trying to work on setting up an unofficial RSS feed for DealDotCom with the products only. I have it right now up and cooking on my blog here:

I’m trying to setup a version where people can use their own affiliate code as well and am hoping to have that feature in place tomorrow.

I also think that it should include only the product.
The “Today’s Deal” type of presenting is quite lengthy and distractive. IMHO, intro should be brief and straight to the point.
Bcoz Internet Marketer will definitely visit the original page to read the sales letter, no point write a lot of stuff that not covering the most important benefit this product will bring to purchaser.

Great idea guys. We have an rss that is just the deals, it is
http://www.dealdotcom.com/blog/category/deals/feed
I just emailed the programmer of the plugin and he is adding that option. So you will be able to select if you want just the deals or all the posts.

I don’t know because I can’t hear what it said on the video. All that I am hearing is noised at the background, sounds liked the TV program was done, that was the sound of the video. Well, I can see some blurry picture but other than that, no sound at all.
Anyone who did this video should redo it. Hence very poor takes.

Joseph- same here on the video.
its a basic plugin anyway… no real need for a video if you’ve ever added a plugin to wordpress before.
also, changing the feed to the new url is a breeze within the plugin editor. there’s 4(i think) instantances of $url = “” that you need to replace within the functions.
One final suggestion- Title the posts what the product is. “the dark council” won’t get me any sales. “Niche Mastery” might.

I agree with Briansol. Need to title the posts a lot better to make sales

I think what it really needs is something more like the unofficial feed that I put together. It does seem like it would make more sense for DealDotCom to provide it. If you want to see the actual feed I put together as an example, take a look at it here:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/DealDotComToday
(please note, this feed uses my affiliate ID — so it can’t just use it with yours. I’m still working on an unofficial version that embeds the affiliate ID for whomever uses it)
Also, I should note — using the method I’ve done I can include older items as well but I haven’t really seen the need for that except for some specialized applications of it.

yeah, shouldn’t be a need to display anything other than todays’ deal anyway, as you can’t order the old one…

Hi guys,
I’m new to this, but I was just wondering if there is any way that this can be used on a normal website, rather than a blog?
I have very little coding knowledge, so please, be gentle!
Thanks.
