It was 5 minutes to three in the afternoon and Sara just finished checking her AdSense stats for the 15th time today. Sadly she was coming to the slow realization that the \”pre-made\” site that she bought for $7.99 was going no where.
Sure, the search engine bots were finding it but they were treating it like old uncle Ted, who always shows up unwanted and has nothing new to say except obnoxious nonsense that no body gives a darn about. You know the type of person I am talking about… that annoying relative that laughs louder at their own old jokes then anyone else.
Well Sara\’s site was just like that… it was full of regurgitated useless info that bragged about itself but really had nothing good to offer anyone that had not already been said and gave no one a reason for anyone to want to stick around.
So what, I dare say, can be done?
The problem is that the internet is no longer the world in 2004. The revolution called \”Web 2.0\” has arrived and the need for useful, relevant, unique and most of all \”wanted\” information is huge.
But how in the heck can anyone write so much content without paying a fortune?

I’m confused on how you make money with this? Can you only promote items listed in eBay affiliate stores? Or any item?

I bought it to test it out, and i made a simple blog tonight on the RC1 of 2.3 to make sure it works with the new version.

Looks good, trying to order but keep getting a zip code error, but my ZIP code is correct for Australia?? The form wont change the USA states to Australian states either in the drop down menu. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks

Hmm..there isnt any option for zipcode in the BayRSS. Only eBay Markets.

If you choose eBay Market to Australia, the display will show bids from eBay.com.au instead of eBay.com

Hi - No, I havent even got the product yet, I am trying to pay for the RSSBay product I cannot get past step two.. I select pay by Paypal, but when I try and enter my address as Australia on the order page “https://www.mcssl.com/SecureCart/…” it says my ZIP code is incorrect. If I use an American address the order page just hangs…?

I bought it and I like it, but with some reservations. I find it’s a blunt instrument as far as narrowing down the lists of items included. It doesn’t allow for specifying sub-categories on eBay, and it doesn’t allow even for broad categories on Amazon. It will accept a keyword phrase for eBay, but apparently only a single keyword for Amazon. I’d sure like to see some enhancements.
That said, it’s remarkably easy to install and configure. I had the following pages up within a few minutes, in case anyone is looking for more examples. (The first two are eBay, the third is Amazon.)

I guess you can count me out then. I can’t sign up for CJ.com for some reason. I don’t know if it’s their system or what, but every e-mail address I try to sign up with is apparently “in use”. And they won’t even answer my support requests regarding this issue. lol

Sure..we are constantly tweaking the plugins since we are using it for our own sites as well.
Oh yes..I forgot to mention that you can actually use -ve in the tag.
Example, you just want listing of sony camcorders..
you can write this :
[nms:sony camcorders -bags -bag -batteries, 4, 1, 100] which will eliminate the bags and batteries from your listing.

Is it possible to do something similar for the Amazon listings? Is the syntax different for Amazon? In my experiments, it seems to fail when more than one word is used in an Amazon keyword tag. In other words it doesn’t like to see any spaces in the Amazon keyword, which limits the filter to a single word.

2. Where are the instructions for them when they get there for
them to put their ID and make their post so they’ll get credit?

1) The best/fastest/easiest way to find eBayers is to use eBay classified ads..I guess.
2) You will need to have a page on ‘How to make money’ on your blog and tell them to use this tag
[nmsaff:keyword,their cj,showno.ofitems]
on their post. Also based on the shared traffic allocator you set on your option panel, you can tell them what their share of traffic will be.

I don’t know what the problem is but I cannot get the order page to load on my new, powerful, updated desktop computer.
So I just tried it on my old feeble laptop and it worked just fine and I was able to complete the purchase!
I have the same antivirus & firewall on both systems.
I cannot figure it out.

I will be using Amazon api for the next version, rather than the lame rss feed
So the Amazon result will improve to be in par with eBay feed plus more new features..

Hey I bought this one and love the eBay interface however I can not get the Amazon interface to work. I followed the instructions (I think) but nothing ever shows up.
Anyone know what’s up?
Using a provided visual example from the developers website, In the Amazon setup I entered:
Enter Your Amazon Associate ID: fore0b-20
Enter Your Tracking ID: amazon

Hello
It is me again. I bought this and loved how easily it integrated into my web site but I have had two problems with it.
One the Amazon.com functionality does not work and most importantly the eBay functionality continually crashes my MySQL database due to slow load times. My site kept crashing from it.
I have provided a ‘thumbs down’ review on my blog for those that are interested.
