Are You Joe Newbie?
September 20, 2007
Meet aspiring internet marketer, Joe Newbie. He just got back from an exciting and motivating internet marketing seminar at the Cut Shin, Kentucky Econolodge off Fish Hatchery Road, and is brimming full of new ideas of how he can finally quit his job at the Owago Waste Water Treatment Facility to the lifestyle of convertibles, private jets, and Rolex watches that the guru so obviously enjoys.
Joe scratched pages of notes at the seminar, writing everything the guru said down. The guru made it sound so easy! All he needed to do was to hire a ghostwriter for $500 to create an ebook for him, and then hire a graphic designer and web developer to create his site for $1000, and then buy ads to drive traffic to his site. Leaning over his desk, Joe notices his bank statement. He has $53.32. He spent all his money on gas driving all the way out to Cut Shin, and for two nights in the Econolodge off Fish Hatchery Road.
Joe felt discouraged for a moment, and then took a determined gulp of his 20oz Strawberry Fanta and thought to himself: Its okay, the guru said he started without any money, so Ill just have to do all this stuff myself. So Joe opened up Microsoft Word to write his first ebook and ended up staring blankly at the blinking cursor. What niche was he going to sell to? Looking around his desk for answers, he found the pages of notes he took at the seminar and thought: Ill write an ebook on how to make money online, after all, thats how the guru makes money!
Dont fall into the trap that so many Joe Newbies out there fall into. Niche marketing is the way to go when you’re just starting out. The hard part, however, is figuring out what niche you’re going to penetrate, and all the research you must do to locate niches and subniches with profit potential. After weeks of research, you’ve got a couple niches that look promising… but then you have to actually come up with content, a newsletter, a blog, perhaps and ebook as well.
Instead of doing things the hard way, let the research slaves at Nicheology do the work for you! With a membership to Nicheology.com,
you are given:
Two (2) Completed Niche “Products In the Rough” Each and Every Month
Four (4) Additional “Niche Product Profiles” Each Month
Full Access to Their Ever-Growing Niche Marketing Training Center
“Niche Mix” an Array of Additional Private Label Rights Products and Personal Use Products to Help Your Business Development
“Niche Profit Strategies” online business growth plans and blueprints.
If youre new to the game Nicheology is perfect for you, but if youre experienced, then you are perfectly aware as to how much this service is worth and its potential to grow your business. With 10 already researched niches complete with a private label product to sell to that niche, you could add 120 niches to your business each year, handed to you on a silver platter.
Nicheology.com has been a driving force in internet marketing for 3 years, and DealDotCom has successfully blackmailed its creators into opening its doors one day only exclusively for DealDotCom members, for a single, solitary dollar. For one measly dollar, you’ll have access to all of the current month’s niche research and content, PLUS their entire catalog of niche research and content back to 2004.
Nicheology is a membership site, and the exclusive DealDotCom deal is $1 for the first month.
You’re seconds away from having access to over $83,000 worth of research and content for only a buck. No long term committment or contract - cancel at anytime. Don’t be a tightwad. At this price, even Joe Newbie and afford to get his hands on this goldmine.

No paypal option? I’m interested in checking it out but not interested in being auto billed after 30 days for the next month. Maybe if a reminder is sent to renew but auto renew worries me because I am a slacker lol.

Soon, there will be a hole in my pocket with all these deals…
September 20th, 2007 at 1:06 am
Sounds intriguing for the first month at least. Just to see what it’s like. Probably worth a buck

Buying this was a pretty easy decision. lol
Thanks again DealDotCom!

That’s one hell of a bargain for the 1st month, but I am very concerned about auto-renew for the 2nd month. I don’t need to have to deal with an auto-renew feature, I make my own decisions thank you very much.

Does the special deal extend to DDC members beyond month #1, or is $1 for the first month only and then the price advertised on their sales page after that ($29.97)?

The deal is $1 for the first month. After that, the normal price applies if you want to stay in.

1.I have bought it. Why when I clicked the download link in my account, the login.php will be saved in my harddisk and not open a website?
2.Does this membership autorenew by default if i don’t write to cancel it?

Not into membership websites, have had a few bad experiences.

DealDotCom rocks! Just signed up and this is a great deal.
Hence - if you’re reading. That’s the “deal” people can’t join Nicheology directly. Obviously, the gang here was able to swing something.
But heck, Nicheology was started by two internet marketing pioneers, so I’m in on this deal. Plus how many IM membership sites have been around for more than 3 years?
September 20th, 2007 at 7:45 am
The same question than several other posters : auto-renew or not?
September 20th, 2007 at 8:25 am
Sometimes people really surprise me, in our little minds we thought this was one that would make everyone happy.. i guess we will stick to our duties as support minion’s and not a mind readers
I do have to say however that as JohnnyCash referred to in the above comment, this is a system started by a couple IM pioneers and who have very strong reputations. This is a solid deal and for $1 you can check it out and if you do not think it is worth the price of admission then you simply tell them to cancel your account and within a few hours your account will be canceled and you will never be charged another dime. They are a solid system and we would not offer this deal if we did not believe and trust in them.
Remember, this site rarely opens their doors and they have been around for almost 3 years and have never done a $1 trial before.

I’ve heard really good thing about Nicheology. For a buck, I think I’ll give it a shot. Thanks for putting this insider deal together for us here.
September 20th, 2007 at 1:02 pm
Wondering for an affiliate promoting dealdotcom, how are we going to be paid? 50% of $1 deal?
Just curious.
September 20th, 2007 at 1:21 pm
There’s one warning sign that should go off in peoples heads…
Nicheology provides eBooks that people are supposed to edit and basically re-sell, along with sales letters.
According to this review… (Click My Name)
…the sales letters weren’t that great and still needed a lot of work.
Here’s the thing to worry about though… they originally limited their membership to 1,500 people to protect their affilaites so that the market wasn’t flooded with the same eBooks. Now the cap is being ignored because it’s offered for sale on this site for $1. Even though most people won’t do any of the work, (and many will be billed automatically after the first month because they didn’t cancel) what you would be marketing isn’t that exclusive anymore.
September 20th, 2007 at 2:12 pm
lol.. Mindy your funny.
Hmmm, for $1 i can take the ebooks that they have and even just create a killer autoresponder series for one of my websites that promote other products… oh wait I can not do that, that means I would actually think outside the box, create a mailing list and make money.
September 20th, 2007 at 2:26 pm
Mindy - thanks for the review link.
You didn;t mention this part, but it was good… “Nicheology has been around for a while, I bet that if you signed up and seriously marketed the ebooks, you would easily make money.”
Plus there are new releases each month. I for one am willing to work.
Dealbot - good thought. Just saw a webinar Jim Edwards did last week with one of the owners of Nicheology, Paul Evans, solid info on talking PLR material and making it your own. They shared 15 ways, plus a bunch of other stuff. Def. outside the box like you’re talking about.
September 20th, 2007 at 2:34 pm
hencewati,
Are you clicking the buy now link… I think you are clicking the direct link and yes the front door is closed. Click on the buy now and you will see the $1 deal.
Just a little forewarning… and do not expect this too often, but this bad boy is almost sold out.
September 20th, 2007 at 3:06 pm
I am the affiliate manager for Nicheology & Content Goldmine. I spear-headed this deal with DealDotCom and I’d like to address some of your questions.
The Membership Cap
It is STILL in place. Through natural attrition, the membership has dropped significantly in number. The membership cap is NOT being ignored. In fact, if you were to get in right now, you will have more exclusivity than you did even a year ago.
Something You Don’t Know
Nicheology is being grown from the inside as we speak. There are new areas inside that have never before been mentioned (until now). This is very valuable and doesn’t cost a dime more than it did the day the site opened. The reason I mention this is to just show people that their fear and doubt is unfounded. And just like the day the site opened, the main purpose that Nicheology (and Content Goldmine) exists is to serve internet marketers. The tools are here and there is really no reason to balk at this offer. It’s a dollar. If you don’t like what you see inside, just cancel.
“But Mark! If the site isn’t full, why does it say the doors are still closed?”
I hear you!
We have a lot of partners that promote Nicheology and Content Goldmine. We have contacted a few of them and they are agreeing to promote a ‘back door’ to Nicheology. Chances are, you will see these offers. But I will tell you this. It will not be a dollar. Further, to protect the membership cap, we can regulate much better by offering it through our affiliates.
The Review Mindy Mentioned
I see that some have already seen that the example for the ‘proof’ that it’s a questionable deal is actually proof that it is an exceptional deal. The quote from Johnny Cash (above) says it all.
Some Friendly Advice
When posting here, it’s good to ask questions that will educate and even clear up some doubts about what is being offered. There’s nothing to be afraid of. These guys are great guys here at DealDotCom.com. You can trust that they would not allow anyone in here unless they are 100% trustworthy.
And in the words of that great philosopher “Dealbot” . . . Go and “think outside the box!”
Blessings,
Mark
P.S. After this deal goes away feel free to contact me if you would like to join our affiliate program.
September 20th, 2007 at 3:15 pm
I made the purchase and have found some really useful info. If anything, it gives me ideas for new content. I always participate in trials and have never had a problem. I have cancelled more than I kept but if it’s worth keeping then I don’t mind the fee.
September 20th, 2007 at 3:28 pm
Johnny Cash, if you look behind the (broken) ‘Click Here’ of the “review” site you’ll see that the reviewer is a Nicheology affiliate. He makes $10 for every month someone stays a member. He wants people to sign-up, so it’s not exactly an unbiased review.
A suggestion to dealdotcom…
Part of the strength of Woot, the company you are emulating, is that they present the warts and all, and Woot doesn’t try to promote the product in the forums - an example dealdotcom should follow if they want to maintain credibility.
I imagine that dealdotcom is getting some sort of affiliate commission for nicheology members it signs up. That’s fine, as long as there’s full disclosure up front, and dealdotcom refrains from pumping up the product in the forums. Do that too often and people will bail.
September 20th, 2007 at 4:25 pm
Finally a kick ass product from a kick ass name. Ryan Deiss is da man!
God I wish I had his brain.
Mix Ryan Deiss and Russel Brunson together and you have one ugly baby with a whole buncha money.
Nicheology is a great product and one I highly recommended for newbs!
@Mindy: Its common knowledge DealDotCom in this to make money. If you need fine print for that, you’re reading too much! However, I agree, “IF” DDC is pumping up product, they should leave the comments to us.
@DealDotCom: Promote great products like Nicheology and you will not need to post-n-boast to make sales.

If DDC is keeping prices low on the front-end and getting a kickback, I have a problem with that since it’s basically commission avoidance. I’ll put my recruiting efforts elsewhere.
I’ve read these posts and I get the strong sense that many of the posters here are pretending to be average Joe’s but are in cahoots with DDC or with Nicheology. It would be very revealing if the IP address appeared with each posts.
September 20th, 2007 at 6:03 pm
Well Kraig, I did say when I feel like talking.. so i want to on this one.
Do you think we are nuts?
Commission avoidance, ghost posters… come on!
Even on a super high sugar rush we would never be that stupid to suicide our efforts.
September 20th, 2007 at 6:19 pm
Dealbot - Thanks.
On the ghost posters, I was referring more to people posting from Nicheology. I don’t know for sure if that’s going on, but people seemed to be referencing each other’s posts a lot more than what usually happens in a forum like this.
It’s a hard thing to determine, and forums post IP addresses for precisely that reason. Again, using Woot as a model, you want to do everything you can to ensure that people that have a fiduciary interest in the product aren’t interfering in the discussion.
I want DDC to succeed, but I’m concerned with what I’m seeing. For me DDC is on probation until I see some editorial restraint.
September 20th, 2007 at 6:31 pm
Oh to the learnings of life!
First of all sorry for the misunderstanding and second of all YES… you actually make a great point. This blog is for open discussion and not persuasion… I obviously see nothing wrong with people who like a product talking about it but we do NEED to keep the conversation neutral. So product owners be fore warned and look at this place as an awesome information area for improving your products and finding out what is good… because issues will be raised.
Thanks for the great point Kraig.
PS - if you do like the deal though.. make sure to share that too.. we like to know we are making good deals for you all.
September 20th, 2007 at 7:22 pm
Ok, our apologies if this wasn’t clear:
If we’re getting residuals from these deals, then you’re getting residuals from these deals.
For deals like this, if a person you referred buys in, you get paid your 35% commission on the one dollar.
If they stay in, you continue to get 35% of our profit from the rebills. You’ll also get your 15% on rebills for tier 2 referrals.
We didn’t mention this because we thought it was understood. We’re sorry if we caused confusion here…

Unbelievable comments. I jumped at the opportunity. What have you got to lose for a dollar. You snoozed as you whined about it and this is what you missed. The e-books are in RTF format and when converted to PDF are the best conversions that I have seen yet. The people that put these documents together knew exactly what they were doing. The table of contents creates clickable links and the chapters and sub chapters all create bookmarks. The reason they are in RTF format is because they are a PLR product and that makes them much easier to work with if you decide to use it for anything other than an ebook. ie break it down into articles (I advise completely rewriting them for maximum effect), create an e-course for your list, etc. This is a one of a kind membership site, believe me I have joined a few. They allow you to download all of the material that they have made available all the way back to 2004. As has been stated in this blog the two people that put this site together are both IM pioneers and I always listen when Jimmy D speaks.
This is an unbiased opinion from a beginner marketer

I used to be a member. Like a lot of other people, I cancelled. The founders may have been pioneers at one point, but they had a mis-step with this one. The content wasn’t that great, and I spent a huge amount of time having to re-write much of it.
It wasn’t that marketable without me putting in a huge investment of time. They’ve had an incredible attrition rate and blame the members that they don’t try hard enough. Right - if it was an effective way of making money you’d think they wouldn’t have such a huge problems with cancellations and could maintain 1500 members. Your time will be more effectively spent making money some other way.
September 20th, 2007 at 9:33 pm
I’m not trying to be mean, but the couple of naysayers just need to get a grip.
I just joined this evening, I have a ton of stuff to get done, and shouldn’t be lingering, but I am. I took the time to read almost everything. The sense of humor is fabulous. That’s what kept me here so long. Then I read this and had to respond.
I think it is totally awesome to get the trial for a buck. When Nicheology first came out 3 years ago I wanted to try it then, but was too broke to afford it, and then the doors where closed, so for me this is very kewl.
For those of you that are having a problem with DDC making a commission too, what’s with that? Are you having a blonde moment? Of course they are. Isn’t that what everyone is here for? Why does DDC have to “disclose” anything about what they are making? Isn’t that a given or is it me that’s having the blonde moment?
Anyway, DDC, thanks for the great deal and what looks like the makings of a fun place to hang out.
Aloha,
June

Hey KonaGirl, like you I’ve been lingering… I don’t think anyone has a problem with DDC making a commission, but like some others I was confused because I didn’t know how I’d be paid for my downstream. They never really explained how the commission worked on this $1 sale.
I was thinking that they can’t run a business selling something for $1 unless they are getting a kickback, and if they are, I as an affiliate should get part of that. I stick with programs that treat me well. The commission structure was explained, but not until 7:22 PM.
PS I’m blonde
September 20th, 2007 at 10:04 pm
Hey Support Minion,
I’ve got a question - what do you mean by “If they stay in, you continue to get 35% of our profit from the rebills”. If a month’s subscription is $29.97, how much will I actually get in tier 1?
September 20th, 2007 at 10:50 pm
Our agreement with Nicheology is that we get 50% of the rebilling, which comes out to $14.98 profit for DDC per rebill.
35% of our profit is $5.24/mo, and 15% of our profit (tier 2) is $2.27/mo
