Hence - if you’re reading. That’s the “deal” people can’t join Nicheology directly. Obviously, the gang here was able to swing something.

But heck, Nicheology was started by two internet marketing pioneers, so I’m in on this deal. Plus how many IM membership sites have been around for more than 3 years?

I do have to say however that as JohnnyCash referred to in the above comment, this is a system started by a couple IM pioneers and who have very strong reputations. This is a solid deal and for $1 you can check it out and if you do not think it is worth the price of admission then you simply tell them to cancel your account and within a few hours your account will be canceled and you will never be charged another dime. They are a solid system and we would not offer this deal if we did not believe and trust in them.

Remember, this site rarely opens their doors and they have been around for almost 3 years and have never done a $1 trial before.

Nicheology provides eBooks that people are supposed to edit and basically re-sell, along with sales letters.

Here’s the thing to worry about though… they originally limited their membership to 1,500 people to protect their affilaites so that the market wasn’t flooded with the same eBooks. Now the cap is being ignored because it’s offered for sale on this site for $1. Even though most people won’t do any of the work, (and many will be billed automatically after the first month because they didn’t cancel) what you would be marketing isn’t that exclusive anymore.

Hmmm, for $1 i can take the ebooks that they have and even just create a killer autoresponder series for one of my websites that promote other products… oh wait I can not do that, that means I would actually think outside the box, create a mailing list and make money.

You didn;t mention this part, but it was good… “Nicheology has been around for a while, I bet that if you signed up and seriously marketed the ebooks, you would easily make money.”

Plus there are new releases each month. I for one am willing to work.

Dealbot - good thought. Just saw a webinar Jim Edwards did last week with one of the owners of Nicheology, Paul Evans, solid info on talking PLR material and making it your own. They shared 15 ways, plus a bunch of other stuff. Def. outside the box like you’re talking about.

It is STILL in place. Through natural attrition, the membership has dropped significantly in number. The membership cap is NOT being ignored. In fact, if you were to get in right now, you will have more exclusivity than you did even a year ago.

Something You Don’t Know

Nicheology is being grown from the inside as we speak. There are new areas inside that have never before been mentioned (until now). This is very valuable and doesn’t cost a dime more than it did the day the site opened. The reason I mention this is to just show people that their fear and doubt is unfounded. And just like the day the site opened, the main purpose that Nicheology (and Content Goldmine) exists is to serve internet marketers. The tools are here and there is really no reason to balk at this offer. It’s a dollar. If you don’t like what you see inside, just cancel.

A suggestion to dealdotcom…

Part of the strength of Woot, the company you are emulating, is that they present the warts and all, and Woot doesn’t try to promote the product in the forums - an example dealdotcom should follow if they want to maintain credibility.

I imagine that dealdotcom is getting some sort of affiliate commission for nicheology members it signs up. That’s fine, as long as there’s full disclosure up front, and dealdotcom refrains from pumping up the product in the forums. Do that too often and people will bail.

@Mindy: Its common knowledge DealDotCom in this to make money. If you need fine print for that, you’re reading too much! However, I agree, “IF” DDC is pumping up product, they should leave the comments to us.

I’ve read these posts and I get the strong sense that many of the posters here are pretending to be average Joe’s but are in cahoots with DDC or with Nicheology. It would be very revealing if the IP address appeared with each posts.

Even on a super high sugar rush we would never be that stupid to suicide our efforts.

On the ghost posters, I was referring more to people posting from Nicheology. I don’t know for sure if that’s going on, but people seemed to be referencing each other’s posts a lot more than what usually happens in a forum like this.

It’s a hard thing to determine, and forums post IP addresses for precisely that reason. Again, using Woot as a model, you want to do everything you can to ensure that people that have a fiduciary interest in the product aren’t interfering in the discussion.

I want DDC to succeed, but I’m concerned with what I’m seeing. For me DDC is on probation until I see some editorial restraint.

First of all sorry for the misunderstanding and second of all YES… you actually make a great point. This blog is for open discussion and not persuasion… I obviously see nothing wrong with people who like a product talking about it but we do NEED to keep the conversation neutral. So product owners be fore warned and look at this place as an awesome information area for improving your products and finding out what is good… because issues will be raised.

If we’re getting residuals from these deals, then you’re getting residuals from these deals.

For deals like this, if a person you referred buys in, you get paid your 35% commission on the one dollar.

If they stay in, you continue to get 35% of our profit from the rebills. You’ll also get your 15% on rebills for tier 2 referrals.

We didn’t mention this because we thought it was understood. We’re sorry if we caused confusion here…

It wasn’t that marketable without me putting in a huge investment of time. They’ve had an incredible attrition rate and blame the members that they don’t try hard enough. Right - if it was an effective way of making money you’d think they wouldn’t have such a huge problems with cancellations and could maintain 1500 members. Your time will be more effectively spent making money some other way.

I just joined this evening, I have a ton of stuff to get done, and shouldn’t be lingering, but I am. I took the time to read almost everything. The sense of humor is fabulous. That’s what kept me here so long. Then I read this and had to respond.

I think it is totally awesome to get the trial for a buck. When Nicheology first came out 3 years ago I wanted to try it then, but was too broke to afford it, and then the doors where closed, so for me this is very kewl.

For those of you that are having a problem with DDC making a commission too, what’s with that? Are you having a blonde moment? Of course they are. Isn’t that what everyone is here for? Why does DDC have to “disclose” anything about what they are making? Isn’t that a given or is it me that’s having the blonde moment?

Anyway, DDC, thanks for the great deal and what looks like the makings of a fun place to hang out.

I was thinking that they can’t run a business selling something for $1 unless they are getting a kickback, and if they are, I as an affiliate should get part of that. I stick with programs that treat me well. The commission structure was explained, but not until 7:22 PM.

I’ve got a question - what do you mean by “If they stay in, you continue to get 35% of our profit from the rebills”. If a month’s subscription is $29.97, how much will I actually get in tier 1?

35% of our profit is $5.24/mo, and 15% of our profit (tier 2) is $2.27/mo
